Social media star Norma, cherished for her hilarious videos alongside her granddaughter Jess, has passed away at the age of 91, her family has confirmed.
The beloved duo, who captivated 790,000 followers on Instagram with their delightful daily adventures, became viral sensations.
Hailing from Nottinghamshire, Jess and Norma also won hearts on TikTok, amassing over 2.6 million followers with their engaging content. They had been eagerly anticipating the release of their book, A Lifetime of Laughter and Our Unbreakable Bond, set to be published next month.
However, in a heartfelt statement shared on their social media platforms on Monday (June 9), the family announced that Norma had passed away peacefully at 91. Mourning their profound loss, they described her as their “rock.”
“05/06/2025—the day our family lost our rock, our everything, our beautiful, precious, perfect lady,” the post read, as reported by Yorkshire Live. “We are all truly devastated, and our lives will never be the same.”
The family expressed gratitude for the love and care Norma received in her final moments:
“We want you all to know that Nan fell asleep peacefully, surrounded by her family. She was full of love and had the most beautiful care.”
They also reflected on the joy social media brought to Norma in her later years:
“If anyone deserves a place in heaven, it’s you, Nanny Norma. Social media and our online community made Nan’s last years so incredibly special—her cup was full, and in her own words, she ‘lived such a wonderful life.’
“91 years was never going to be enough, and she has left the biggest hole in all of our hearts. Reunited with her husband and family—until we meet again, our queen.”
Celebrities and fans quickly shared their condolences. Comedian Dawn French wrote:
“Oh. I will miss her so much. I can’t begin to imagine how much you will. All love.”
Dawn Ward, from The Real Housewives of Cheshire, also paid tribute:
“Oh, I’m so sad. She was so amazing, and I loved watching her. You will have amazing memories forever, and thousands of people will remember her thanks to you!”
