Together, she and Frank built a life filled with love, family, and community in Mount Airy, becoming cherished figures in the local area. Their journey began when Frank opened New York J&P Pizza, later marrying Miia and raising their children—Amber, Randy, and Gennaro—alongside their grandchildren, Finn and Gillian.
Miia was the heart of her family, known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion. She played a vital role in nurturing their children, supporting Frank’s thriving restaurant, and engaging in community events that brought people together. Whether lending a hand at charity functions, cheering on her grandchildren, or greeting guests with a welcoming smile at the restaurant, Miia’s gentle presence touched everyone she met.
Her love extended beyond her immediate family, strengthening the bonds within the Illiano family and offering comfort and joy in times of celebration and need. Her deep love for her husband and children was evident in every gesture, and her enthusiasm for life inspired all who knew her.
Miia is survived by her loving husband, Frank Illiano; their children, Amber, Randy, and Gennaro; grandchildren Finn and Gillian; and her extended family. She was a guiding light to friends, co-workers, and all who walked through the doors of New York J&P Pizza.
A private funeral service will be held in accordance with the family’s wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a local family support or children’s charity of your choice, in Miia’s honor.
Miia Illiano will be deeply missed, remembered for her compassion, strength, and the profound love she shared with her family and community. Her spirit lives on in the legacy of kindness and dedication she leaves behind.
