In Loving Memory of Waylon Eugene Burnett -With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Waylon Eugene Burnett, a cherished son, brother, grandson, and friend, who left us far too soon at the age of 29. A lifelong resident of Rutherford County, Tennessee, Waylon devoted his life to his family and his work as a skilled drywall finisher in the construction industry. His dedication, hard work, and kind spirit left an unforgettable mark on everyone he met, and he will be profoundly missed.
Waylon’s kindness, infectious smile, and unwavering loyalty defined him. He took great pride in his craft and valued the strong relationships he built within his community. His family remembers him as a compassionate and selfless person, always putting others before himself. His love for family shone through in everything he did, bringing joy and comfort to those around him.
He is preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, L.W. Burnett, with whom he shared a special bond. His memory lives on through his devoted parents, Louis and Melissa Burnett; his loving sister, Rebecca Burnett; his brothers, Brandon and Kyle Burnett; his dear nephew, Eli Burnett; his grandmother, Marilyn Bowling; his uncle, Willie “Bubba” Burnett; and his great aunt, Ola Dement. Each of them holds close the treasured memories of Waylon’s warmth, humor, and the love he so freely shared.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Waylon’s life during a visitation on Thursday, July 5, 2018, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home. His funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 6, 2018, at Trimble Cemetery, where loved ones will honor his memory as pallbearers. These gatherings offer an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the incredible person Waylon was.
